The Next to Last Day
It is 1:45 p.m. on this fine Wednesday afternoon. Jeremy and I are in Starke, Florida. We have about 28 more miles to ride and we will be in Green Cove Springs. That is only 15 miles or so from St. Augustine. So, we are almost home. Today has been great so far. The roads are very flat, no wind, the roads are smooths with good shoulders. The love bugs are still with us. That's it for now.

Hi Stan, Jeremy, Dave & George,
Congratulations!! You guys are amazing. What a fantastic accomplishment. Stan, you and Jeremy should write a book about your incredible bike ride. Have a safe and relaxing trip home.

I'm a Clay county cyclist and I've been thinking about this ever since I saw it in the paper Friday. Please let us know how Stan and Jeremy are doing ...either here in the comment section or with a blog update. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hopefully we'll hear better news soon.

Stan is still in critical care, but improving. All of the comments and prayers and thoughts are very much appreciated. Jenny Bippus (spouse)
On his way home from work, my husband passed the accident scene while the police were working it. He told me about it & we prayed for the (then) unknown cyclists. We were glad to get the rest of the amazing story first in the paper the following day then searching & finding the blog. Y'all are still in our prayers. Thanks for the update.
Thanks Jenny. Keep us posted. So many people care.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. We look forward to your return home when its time. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

I read about this in the Madison Courier today, Jenny, and was very sorry to hear about the injuries to Stan and Jeremy. My wife and I are Florida residents who spend some of the year at our ancestoral home in Hanover, Indiana. I'm a former insurance adjuster and encourage you to get a Florida lawyer, if you haven't already, to help you with some of what must be hugh medical expenses. If you have any questions about that please feel free to contact me by e-mail (dennis@boginmunns.com). I feel badly that this happened so close to their destination in my home state and hope they can both fully and quickly recover. Sincerely, Dennis M.
Jenny - If you don't have a lawyer yet, I recommend Chris Burns from Jacksonville. He is a cyclist and handles most cycling related cases in the area. If there's anything I can do to help while you're here, please feel free to contact me. BiknJeanne@aol.com
Praying for you all, here in Hanover.
Stan
God is looking over you and will take care of you. He will lift you up on God's shoulders and make you whole again. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Stan, wishing you a speedy recovery. You will climb more mountains!!

Stan,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You and Jeremy have been an inspiration to so many of us. I read this recently and it reminds me of you.
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, I have done this, I have survived. I can take the next thing that comes a long. You must do the one thing you think you cannot do.
Remember when you see a man on the top of a mountain, he didn't fall there.
Keep climbing Stan, you still have a lot to do.
